Discipline learned in the dojang carries far beyond it. We’re proud to celebrate U&I Korea Taekwondo students accepted to Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, Vanderbilt, and UBC and more — many of whom trained with us from their very first white belt to black belt.

Some students prove you never have to choose between excellence in the dojang and excellence in the classroom — Johnathan is living proof of both. Now studying Medicine at King’s College London, he continued training and competing at the highest level of our sport: selected for the Australian National Team in Freestyle Poomsae, he represented Australia at the 2024 World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships right here in Hong Kong, along with international competitions across Europe. From his years on our mats to the world stage — and one day, to the hospital ward — Johnathan embodies what we believe Taekwondo builds: the discipline to pursue two dreams at once, and the perseverance to achieve them both. We couldn’t be prouder. 🥋
Every journey starts with a first kick 🥋
